FIRE BRIGADE to rush immediately In case of an EMERGENCY
22 Teams active with 6 Permanent and 4 Temporary Unit

Nashik Municipal Corporation Fire Brigade is in readiness with ultra modern
equipment and vehicles to jump to any emergency situation and respond to
citizens within just 2-3 minutes during the period of Simhastha Kumbhamela
being organized at Nashik-Trimbakeshwar. These arrangements have been carried
out by the administration.
Along
with 6 Fire Stations in the city and 4 temporary Fire Stations at Sadhugram the
city will be served by 22 teams. Apart from this two rescue vans with search
and protection teams will be activated. The administration has decided to
include those youth who have completed one year Fire Engineering Course at
Kumbhamela. Considering the instances of fire, floods, stampede, chemical gas
leaks etc trained manpower has been made available to the Nashik Municipal
Corporation Fire Brigade. Along with this the Fire Brigade fleet is now
equipped with Quick Response Vehicles, breathing apparatus, advanced emergency
rescue Van, Flood rescue van and other modern vehicles and equipment. For
faster response at narrow lanes and crowded streets Water Mist Units placed on
Bullet Motorbikes, Inflatable lighting masts for lighting up dark regions and
portable lighting systems are now available with the Fire Brigade.
The
administrative routes will be used so that the fire tenders can reach the
crowded spots within shortest time. Apart from 6 Fire Stations in the city,
temporary Fire Stations are proposed to be established during Kumbhamela period
at Sadhugram, Outer, Inner Parking, staging areas and others.

teams of Fire Brigade with a Rescue van will be activated at Trimbakeshwar
also. Teams are also being placed on Parking Spaces. The joint responsibility
of Trimbakeshwar Fire Brigade has been given to Milind Ogale, Regional Fire
Officer, MIDC.
The
Fire Brigade has been in readiness for tackling any emergency situation and
Mockdrill has been undertaken at some locations. Youth with 21 years of age are
being trained as Volunteers with one day training. During any emergency
citizens will be able to contact Fire Brigade Number 101 as also 1077 in
District Collector office Disaster Cell. During Kimbhamela period Fire officers
from Municipal Corporations at Pune, Thane, Pimpri-Chinchwad, Kalyan-Dombivali,
Navi Mumbai, Vasai Virar, Kolhapur, Jalgaon, Dhule, Malegaon and others as well
as Fire tenders from authorities such as MIDC, CIDCO will be available with
their teams.
